christopher dorner is a homophobe, a woman-hater, and a fuckin’ murderer.

he wants to target queer women specifically (because they’re “misandrists” trying to control men, apparently). he says this explicitly in his manifesto.  you know, the manifesto that’s being reblogged thousands upon thousands of times with immense support and approval. but apparently nobody cares.

he murdered an innocent WOC because she was the daughter of a cop.  he intends to murder other innocent people who happen to be related to LAPD.  but i guess that’s okay, they’re not really innocent if they committed the heinous crime of being born into the same bloodline as a cop, right???

cop-hating is completely justified and a sentiment i share, but the amount of people on here uncritically lauding and supporting this killer is mindblowing.  just fucking mindblowing.  even for tumblr. it makes me sick. you should know better.  you should all fucking know better.

i have nothing but disgust for the people praising this man.  stay the fuck away from me.

yeah and just to add, he also says he is targeting black officers who give their white subordinates shit in retribution for racism, because “[y]ou perpetuated the cycle of racism in the department as well. You breed a new generation of bigoted caucasian officer when you belittle them and treat them unfairly” which uh

Ugh THANK YOU

He’s specifically targeting Asian officers too

The day after Columbine, I was interviewed for the Tom Brokaw news program. The reporter had been assigned a theory and was seeking sound bites to support it. “Wouldn’t you say,” she asked, “that killings like this are influenced by violent movies?” No, I said, I wouldn’t say that. “But what about Basketball Diaries?” she asked. “Doesn’t that have a scene of a boy walking into a school with a machine gun?” The obscure 1995 Leonardo Di Caprio movie did indeed have a brief fantasy scene of that nature, I said, but the movie failed at the box office (it grossed only $2.5 million), and it’s unlikely the Columbine killers saw it. The reporter looked disappointed, so I offered her my theory.

“Events like this,” I said, “if they are influenced by anything, are influenced by news programs like your own. When an unbalanced kid walks into a school and starts shooting, it becomes a major media event. Cable news drops ordinary programming and goes around the clock with it. The story is assigned a logo and a theme song; these two kids were packaged as the Trench Coat Mafia. The message is clear to other disturbed kids around the country: If I shoot up my school, I can be famous. The TV will talk about nothing else but me. Experts will try to figure out what I was thinking. The kids and teachers at school will see they shouldn’t have messed with me. I’ll go out in a blaze of glory.

In short, I said, events like Columbine are influenced far less by violent movies than by CNN, the NBC Nightly News and all the other news media, who glorify the killers in the guise of “explaining” them. I commended the policy at the Sun-Times, where our editor said the paper would no longer feature school killings on Page 1. The reporter thanked me and turned off the camera. Of course the interview was never used. They found plenty of talking heads to condemn violent movies, and everybody was happy.

I’m just catching up on the news of the shooting in Wisconsin at a Sikh temple and it’s making me uncomfortable to read because of how deliberately ambiguous everyone’s being about what happened

A white guy in his thirties shot 20 people in their place of worship, killing at least six of them

There’s no real repercussions for taking a stand on something like this and if something is word for word the textbook definition of a hate crime

Then for fuck’s sake, just call it a hate crime

In which a girl saying Angry Birds is innovative makes Redditors want to punch her in the face.

Though what REALLY makes this thread is the person utterly incapable of understanding why Angry Birds has a higher profit margin than Skyrim. Oh, and the general “fuck mobile gaming” atmosphere, which is pretty much delusional (nothing will be as popular as Angry Birds again! Mobile gaming is dying! Mobile games all suck!)

Joystiq, Justin McElroy: Guy chokes a kid after being made fun of in Black Ops, we’re … upset [September 30th, 2011]
The number of emails I’ve had about Justin McElroy endorsing someone tracking down someone who made fun of them online and strangling them have been phenomenal.
One of the emails I received raises an interesting point: “I wonder if AOL knows that one of its publication is expressing the editorial opinion (site-wide, he says ‘we’) that choking children is something to be celebrated?”

Just check out the author’s Twitter feed, the International Game Developer’s Association linked the article choking a child is never ok…so he’s linking to clips from Mortal Kombat and saying they should condemn Shao Kahn ripping people in half. Because killing entirely fictional characters in Mortal Kombat is just the same as choking real children, obviously!
Oh and also he’s saying people just don’t GET his subtle satire. Because they can’t possibly recognize he was joking and think it was a shitty joke, obviously.
Jesus.

Employing the logic our society uses concerning rape:

  • Anyone talking is asking to be interrupted.
  • Anyone carrying money is asking to be robbed.
  • Anyone eating is asking to choke.
  • Anyone drinking is asking to be drugged.
  • Anyone walking is asking to be tripped.
  • Anyone with a face is asking to be punched.
  • Anyone with a heart is asking for a heart attack.
  • Anyone with arteries is asking for an aneurysm.
  • Anyone not wearing a breastplate is asking to be stabbed.
  • Anyone not wearing a bulletproof vest is asking to be shot.
