Apparently the actor playing Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) also starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the play Frankenstein. Coincidence…I think not. Jonny is also an English actor, but I am sorry, we already have an English actor portraying the fabulous role of Sherlock and we don’t need a bogus U.S. version. Yes, I am American, but shit, I fell in love with the BBC version of Sherlock and I doubt this will be nearly as entertaining. The only upside to this is that it is filmed in NYC…I have nothing else nice to say, so I will end here.

Oh, and I have nothing against the actor…we are all entitled to our opinions, right? And this is my opinion, I don’t think Elementary will live up to the expectations, and if it does, I will still be a Cumberbatch Sherlockian faithful!

But like….there’s been hundreds of adaptions, with hundreds of actors playing him. You could just as easily say they shouldn’t have made Sherlock, because Jeremy Brett was the best and there’s no need for Cumberbatch’s Holmes.
