Have a bunch of people on Tumblr treat a work with no following here suddenly become as obsessed with it as they do Sherlock, Supernatural, etc. People’s dashes are filled with gifs, shipping arguments, wild speculation, fanfic and unpopular opinions…for something you never see on Tumblr. I’m thinking something that’s a. obscure or no longer popular, b. doesn’t even have a cult following, and c. is kind of mediocre. Like some old sitcom. And for one day, it’s the biggest fandom on Tumblr.

I vote the movie Troll 2!

But that has a cult following? I mean there was a entire documentary made about how bad it was. I was thinking something not necessarily bad so much as something so wildly out of Tumblr’s usual demographic or interests you would never see it here otherwise.
